Privacy Policy
This page explains, in plain words, what we collect when you use our website, our Site Check, our Get Started form, and our client portal. It also explains what we do with it and who else handles it. It is written for churches and the people who contact us for them in the United States.
Who we are. UDUE is a business of UDUE LLC, 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801. Email: admin@udue.com.
What We Collect
Site Check form. Your church's name. Your name, and whether you are a pastor, staff member, or volunteer. Your phone number. Your email address. Your church's website address, if you give one. Up to three links to websites you admire, if you add them. Any notes you type about what you like in them.
Get Started form. Your church's name, your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, the monthly plan you choose, and your church's website address if you give one. We receive your request by email, and it is also saved in our client portal database as a pending request.
Client portal. Your email address, so we can send you a one-time sign-in link. The change requests you send, and the details we need to follow them, such as dates, status, and how many changes you have used this month. Files you attach to a request. The details your church enters when it sets up its site, such as service times, staff names and short bios, photos, colors, domain information, and the websites you admire and why. When you accept our agreement, the date and time, the version, and the internet address and browser you used. When you sign in, a record of the time, the internet address, and the browser type, for security.
Payments. When you pay through PayPal, PayPal collects your payment details. We receive your name, email address, the amount, the date, and the payment status. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Calls, texts, and email. If you contact us, we see your phone number or email address and what you write.
Technical basics. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server records, such as the internet address a request came from, the type of browser, and the time. This helps the site run and stay secure. Our forms also include a hidden field that helps us spot spam. It does not track you. To limit repeated requests, our systems briefly count requests by internet address. If an email about your request cannot be sent, the details may be written to our hosting provider's logs so that the request is not lost.
Please do not send us sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, health details, or private details about children. If you need to share something sensitive, ask us first.
What the Site Check Does with Your Web Address
If you give us your church's website address, we collect that address and the public content of the page, normally your home page, to prepare your Site Check report. We use only pages anyone can see. We never sign in to anything, and we never change anything on your site. We honor a website's request not to be visited, and we limit how often the same website is checked.
To prepare the report, your website address may be shared with a website performance service, which handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.
We email your Site Check report to the address you provide, usually within about an hour. We personally help you understand every report, so you are welcome to reply with any question.
If you share links to websites you admire, our team uses them to understand the style you like. Those links are not shared with any other service. We do not copy another site's text, images, or code.
How We Use Your Information
- To reply to you and to run your free Site Check.
- To set up and care for your site if you become a client, to bill you, and to keep a record of our work.
- To confirm a change request with the contact we have on file before we change anything.
- To keep our website, forms, and portal secure and working.
- To follow the law and protect our rights.
We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a Site Check. We may send one follow-up email about the same request. If we ever send you other messages about our services, each one will tell you who we are, include our address, and include an easy way to opt out.
Calls and texts. When you give us a phone number, you agree that we may call or text you about your request. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, or by emailing admin@udue.com. We do not send marketing texts without asking you first.
Who Else Handles Your Information
We do not sell or rent your information. We do not use it for advertising. We share it only with the services below, as needed to do the work, or if the law requires it.
- Email: our email runs on Zoho Mail. Your messages and our replies pass through Zoho.
- Website hosting: this website and our client portal are hosted by Vercel.
- Portal database: the client portal keeps its data, including Get Started requests and uploaded files, in a database run by Neon.
- Website performance: a website performance service receives the website address you give for your Site Check.
- Payments: PayPal processes payments for the site build and monthly plans.
- Advisors and legal reasons: our lawyers, accountants, and insurers if needed, and public authorities where the law requires.
- If our business is sold or merged: your information may go to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
Each of these companies has its own privacy policy.
Cookies
See our Cookie Note. In short, this website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The client portal sets one cookie that keeps you signed in.
How Long We Keep It
- Site Check and Get Started requests that do not become a client: we keep them for up to 12 months.
- Files you attach in the client portal: 12 months, and then they are removed.
- Clients: for as long as you are a client, and for 7 years after that for accounting and legal records.
- Server records: for the period our hosting provider keeps them.
- Email: for as long as we need it for our records.
If you want us to delete your request sooner, email admin@udue.com. We will do it, unless we must keep something for a legal or accounting reason.
Your Choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you. You can ask us to stop calling or texting you. Email admin@udue.com. We work to reply within 30 days. We offer these choices to everyone in the United States.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. These include secure (HTTPS) connections and sign-in links for the portal that work once and expire after 15 minutes. No website is completely secure. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
Our website and services are for church leaders and staff, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
For church websites we build, each church is responsible for its own site's privacy notice and for what its site collects, including anything about children or members. Please talk with us before you add forms that collect private information.
Other Websites
Links to other sites, such as our sample sites, sites you ask us to look at, and giving or streaming providers, follow their own privacy rules.
Changes to This Page
When we change this page, we change the date at the top. For changes that matter, we email current clients.
